Biography
Born in France in 1970, Muriel Vergnaud went to the National Conservatory of Music, Boulogne-Billancourt, Paris, receiving a Diploma in flute (classical and contemporary programs) in 1989, and a First Prize in chamber music in 1990. She holds a University Diploma of General Education in musicology and art history from La Sorbonne University in Paris. From 1992 to 1994, she attended Orsay University, Paris and graduated with a University Diploma in early music education.
Flutist/composer/improviser, Muriel Vergnaud performs as a
soloist, chamber and orchestral musician. Since a few years, she has
been developing her own live performance concept which joins composition
and improvisation.
Artist/educator, Muriel Vergnaud is the author of the musical series MURIEL’S WORLD™, French Songs for Children. To complement her songs, she has created LYS™-Multi-Arts French Program for Children.
Live Your Song!™, an early foreign language learning program, is an original concept of French education. Across frontiers and linguistic boundaries, Muriel Vergnaud offers workshops for children and training programs for adults.
